IVF Preliminary Meeting is Free
IVF Treatment is a 5-step process. These stages are completed in 4 weeks in total. In the first meeting with couples who want a child, the causes of infertility are explained to the prospective parents. Information is given about the tests to be applied to ensure the diagnosis of these reasons. If the couples have previously had sperm analysis tests and if there is no uterine film, a uterine film should be taken. If they have had infertility treatment before, tests and reports regarding the treatment process and all blood tests are requested. Thus, the patient's past history is taken. In the light of all this information, the cause of infertility is found and treatment appropriate to the cause is started.
Stimulating the Eggs
IVF In the second stage of the treatment, the expectant mother comes to see her doctor on the second or third day of her menstrual period to evaluate her ovaries. The physician, who evaluates the expectant mother's ovaries with the help of ultrasound, may ask to check the hormone levels depending on the patient's condition. According to the results, the physician stimulates the ovaries and begins drug treatment to develop eggs. The nurse informs the patient about how to use the medications.
Collecting Eggs
IVF One of the most important stages of the process is the collection of eggs. When the egg developed by administering hormone medications reaches the desired size and maturity, it is removed from the uterus by injection under general anesthesia. Eggs taken from the uterus vaginally are fertilized by classical IVF or micro injection method. classic ivf In this method, a certain number of sperm is placed around the egg. One of the sperm is expected to fertilize the egg. In the microinjection method, the highest quality and healthiest sperm selected from among the sperm is injected into the egg using special methods.
Embryo Transfer
Eggs and sperm taken to the laboratory for fertilization and embryo transfer are checked and embryo development is monitored. Quality embryos are selected by the embryologist. It is determined by law that a single embryo should be placed in women under the age of 35 and a double embryo should be placed in women over the age of 35. The selected high-quality embryo or embryos are placed into the uterus by the specialist physician with the help of a special catheter placed in the cervix. After the embryo transfer, which is performed without anesthesia and without pain, the expectant mother is taken to rest for 45 minutes to 1 hour. After this period, the patient can return to his normal life.
Supportive Treatment Methods
After the embryo transfer, supportive medications are given to the expectant mother so that the embryo can adhere more tightly to the uterus. After a period of 12 to 15 days, an appointment is made for the beta HCG test.
