Estrogen
What is Hormone?
Estrogen Hormone
secreted in the ovaries of women estrogen, It is an important hormone especially related to femininity and feminine characteristics. For this reason, it must be secreted in sufficient amounts in women starting from the transition to adulthood.
What is Estrogen Hormone and What Does It Do?
For women, this hormone is especially important during the preparation period for reproduction. Basically, after this hormone is secreted from the ovaries, it is directed towards the uterus. For this reason, it is a hormone that is required to prepare the inner lining of the uterus for pregnancy.
Why Does Estrogen Hormone Decrease?
It is important for the pituitary and hypothalamus glands in the brain to produce some necessary hormones for the synthesis of this hormone within the female metabolism and for the development of egg cells. If these hormones are not produced as much as necessary in the body, in such cases the ovaries estrogen cannot complete its production. As a result, since there is an active loss of egg cells in the ovary, egg cells do not develop and reproductive hormone deficiency occurs. For example, results such as menopause in women or surgical removal of the ovaries reveal low hormone levels.
Symptoms of Estrogen Hormone Deficiency in Women
One of the first symptoms of this hormone deficiency in women is the inability to menstruate. Because in the absence of hormones, ovulation does not occur because the brain does not provide the necessary stimulation or, although the stimulation occurs, the egg cell does not develop, and since the hormone is not synthesized, menstruation does not occur. In addition, in this case, the necessary development in the inner lining of the uterus does not occur.
How to Increase Estrogen Level?
While the body continues to secrete this hormone, the egg cell continues to develop. Then, with the start of menstruation, ovulation occurs approximately 2 weeks after the first day. After ovulation, progesterone hormone begins to be secreted thanks to a structure called corpus luteum. In this case, when ovulation does not occur in the female metabolism, the reproductive hormone level constantly increases and an increase occurs.
How Much Estrogen Hormone Should Be?
In fact, this hormone is combined with 3 different forms. The first of these forms is estradiol, and the other two are estriol and estrone hormones. At this point, two important hormone levels need to be monitored for women. The intervals in which these values are determined are considered as 4 different periods.
- In this period, the estrone level should be maximum 29 pg/ml, as the first period is taken before puberty. Estradiol level should be a maximum of 20 pg/ml.
- In adulthood, estrone level should be 10-200 pg/ml and estradiol should be a maximum of 350 pg/ml.
- In the premenopausal period, estrone should be 17-200 pg/ml and estradiol should be 15-350 pg/ml.
- After menopause, estrone should be 7-40 pg/ml and estradiol level should be below 10 pg/ml.
Low Estrogen Hormone Treatment
If there is a condition such as low levels of these hormones in the body, this condition must first be eliminated. However, beforehand, it is important to eliminate the conditions that cause miscarriage. Since the discomfort is usually caused by a condition such as ovarian failure, treatment can be provided by giving external hormone support.
3 Hormones That Rule Women: Estrogen, Testosterone, Progesterone
There are three hormones that have very important effects on female metabolism under normal conditions. These three different hormones have a very important place, especially in the menstrual cycle, which lasts about 28 days. During this 4 week period estrogen, testosterone and progesterone have an impact on everything from psychology, energy, romance or social life.
Thanks to the secretion of estrone in the first week, the hormone increases slowly for 7 days, and a more energetic state is achieved, leaving the painful and tired state. With a scientific approach, appetite is taken under control, sleep patterns are restored and daily life begins to become more comfortable.
Within 2 weeks, with the secretion of testosterone, self-confidence increases, a stronger memory emerges and sexual approaches become more comfortable.
It helps prepare the mother's uterus in case of pregnancy by secreting progesterone within 3 weeks. During this period, a more tired, sleepy and shy state occurs.
During the last week, hormone levels decrease, the body collects water, and symptoms such as headache and indigestion occur. Insomnia may occur, and some problems may come to the fore along with hormone imbalances.
